An officer of the Indian Reserve Battalion, Police Department, Puducherry, joined service in the year 2005. He underwent Basic Training at CTC-2, CRPF, and successfully completed Phase-II attachments with BSF in Manipur. He further enhanced his operational skills by completing the Counter Insurgency and Jungle Warfare (CIJW) Course at the Centre of Excellence, Assam Rifles, Diphu, Assam, and the Commando Course at the Tamil Nadu Commando Training Centre. In addition, he completed a specialized course on Airport Security and Counter Terrorism at SZRTC, Thiruvananthapuram. He was awarded with Ragiv Gandhi Meritorious service Medal in the year 2015

Served in the Editorial Desk of Information & Publicity Dept. for more than 20 years. A Doctorate in Literature with Experience in Journalism. Served as Deputy Secretary / Regional Secretary(Southern India) in Sahitya Akademy, Ministry of Culture
